Mickey Mouse circa. November 18, 1928
Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse in 1928, originally as Mortimer Mouse; however Walt’s wife Lillian thought Mickey sounded better. Mickey’s first film was Plane Crazy, but made his official film debut in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928, (Mickey’s Birthday) at the Colony Theater in New York.

I watched James Cameron’s epic motion picture, Avatar – tonight Friday, December 18th at the IMAX in 3D and this epic action adventure directed by James Cameron, the director of Titanic, took me to a spectacular new world that brought our past and present into the future. The distant moon Pandora, expands the imagination on a journey of redemption and discovery as an unlikely hero battles the odds to save the planets indigenous population from the evils of greed and profits.

Global Village Rendezvous
